Jake's First Day Of Kindergarten!!! 8/5/08

Jake finally started Kindergarten!!! He was so excited when he woke up, that he got ready 2 hours early!!! He was walking around the house with his backpack on, asking me over and over again, "When are we leaving?" When we finally got to school, he saw 1 friend he knew from T-Ball, and another friend from his preschool. He then turned around to us and said, "Bye Mommy and Daddy", as he took off running for the playground with his friends. His teacher let us come into the room for the first 10 minutes, and read the book "The Kissing Hand." For those of you who are familiar with that book can definitely understand how "emotional" I was after listening to that story. After that, his teacher had each student bring their mommy a paper cut out of a little hand with a Hershey's kiss in the center, (as this goes along with the story.) That was then our cue to leave. When I picked up Jake at the end of the day, he said, "I love my class!!!" It was a great first day!!!!!!

Summer Fun...August 2008

We met Uncle Tony at the Irvine Spectrum, and had a great day!!! We shopped for awhile, rode the train, and then had a yummy dinner at California Pizza Kitchen. Sorry you couldn't find the Skechers (shoes) you wanted Tony.... We'll keep looking.

4th of July 2008...

We took the kids back to Legoland for their 4th of July celebration called, "Red, White and Boom." It was such a beautiful day in Carlsbad. The temperature never went over 75 degrees, while it was 99+ degrees at home. After we played in the waterpark all day, we watched an awesome fireworks show. We had another great trip to Legoland!!

Jake wanted me to include a few pictures from t-ball. He had so much fun playing on the Cardinals. It was a long season, but he learned quite a bit about the game. He said he wants to play Winterball, so he must have enjoyed it!!

Finally Blogging!!!!!

Well, I decided to join the "rest of the world", and create a Blog. I'm not sure how much I'll be able to do right now, because Jake and Jenna are jumping on the bed and screaming in my ear!!!! That's pretty much a typical day in this house. :) Sorry if I keep it short, but you mom's out there "know how it is." I'm hoping to keep up with this Blog, but I'm not going to hold my breath on that promise.......... Better go, Jenna needs to go "potty."
